Salary: £28,000 Basic OTE £35,000 Uncapped + Car Allowance

Location: Blackburn, BB1 5QR

Hours: 9.00am – 5.30pm

Established over 20 years ago, the company has been providing digital marketing services to a wide range of businesses – from SMEs to large corporations across a range of business sectors.

The company prides itself in developing long term relationships built on delivering impressive results for its customers. The company has recently won a number of new contracts and as part of their growth strategy they are now seeking a highly motivated and passionate Business Development Manager to drive new revenue growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established and well-regarded Lancashire company.

Duties Include

  • Driving the growth of the company by achieving monthly revenue objectives from key target markets
  • Proactively generate new leads through a range of sales prospecting activity – including attending B2B events, professional networks, referrals, contacts, social media engagement and maximising sales from existing customers
  • Diligently follow up all inbound sales leads
  • Researching and qualifying prospective customers
  • Nurturing all qualified prospects and opportunities with a view to moving them through the sales pipeline to a successful conclusion
  • Through an analytical approach, understanding the customer’s needs, their strategic objectives and pain points, and then developing an effective solution that will help improve the customer’s business
  • Working alongside the web and digital marketing teams, create professional and sales winning proposals
  • Presenting your ideas to the prospective customer in a compelling manner, getting their buy-in, leading to a successful sale
  • Managing relationships with key customers and identifying new revenue opportunities
  • Maintain the CRM system and provide regular sales pipeline reports and feedback to the Directors
  • Keep up-to-date with new developments and technology within the digital industry, and our key target markets

Candidate Requirements

  • A proven track record in consultative sales, and experience in working within a competitive B2B services environment
  • Possess entrepreneurial flair with an instinctive ability to seek out business opportunities that can benefit our customers
  • Be an ambitious, energetic and over-achieving individual who craves success
  • Have excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills, together with the ability to engage and build relationships at all levels
  • Excellent time management and planning skills, and able to meet deadlines
  • Good knowledge of web and digital marketing channels, and how they benefit businesses
  • Be able to work on own initiative and able to work with various departments within the business
  • Live within a commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK
  • A UK degree would be an advantage
