A brief history of me...
After leaving university with a Business Management and Media degree, I joined a company selling training packages and was slowly tempted into the world of TV production, working with Bolton Wanderers FC. Football, however was not to be my life and I left to set up as a consultant in Fresh Sales & Marketing Solutions (Mark 1) working with SME businesses in the Northwest. After realising I liked getting paid on a regular basis, I took the decision to get back to corporate life working with organisations that included a trade association and a motivational training company. Variety is what it's all about for me and after being made redundant, decided to go back to what I loved best; running my own business – enter Fresh & Simple (Mark 2).
I’m currently watching...
Midsommer Murders – if there is any kind of incident call me, I am now an expert on convoluted, never know who done it till the end, set in a picturesque English village, mysteries.
I’m currently listening to...
The entire discographies of The Beatles, The Stones and Steely Dan plus a little Jazzmatazz by GURU.
I’m currently reading...
Anything by Terry Pratchett, plus an amazing book called 'Dancer' by Colum McCann, which is an interwoven historical and fictional account of the life of Rudolf Nureyev – it's one of those books that takes you into another world.
I’m most proud of...
Setting up my own company Fresh and Simple when I was made redundant – it's sometimes very challenging but so immensely rewarding and it's all mine!
Something you won’t know about me...
I appeared on the 2nd series of Master Chef and managed to create what looked like a cheesy armadillo; I believe that to this day, I received the worst taunting ever administered by John and Gregg on the show. I can actually really cook, just not in front of a camera, it's much better with a glass of wine believe me!
What are these?
